How you'll make a difference
Reporting into the Network Operations Manager; as the Network Unified Communications SME you will come from an environment where you have provided technical support across the whole of the network domain and technologies, for an organisation with multiple locations and more than 5000 employees.
You will be responsible for delivering great service to our customers, both internal and external, through strong technical operational support of the Network Infrastructure within IO&SD.
You will make a difference in your role as you will have the confidence to act as a technical lead in the team and point of contact for other operational teams, with the ability to provide out of hours support and be part of an on-call rota.
What you'll bringAbility to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment and be able to balance priorities
Experience of working within 24/7 financial operational environment or similar and ability to provide out of hours support and be part of an on-call rota.
Excellent decision-making ability with the ability to judge complex situations and assess when to and not to escalate issuesAn interest i n cloud technologies and potential proven migration / adoption of voice cloud technologies.
Good communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and the confidence to act as a technical lead in the team and point of contact for other operational teams.
Ability to self-motivate to work on own initiative and able to work collaboratively and constructively within multi discipline teams, with strong analytical skills.
