Job Summary:
This role is responsible for undertaking work in various areas such as but not limited to; single piece assembly, coil winding, finishing.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Single piece assembly to defined procedures and story boards. This could be part of flow line practices or sub-assemblies for other products e.g. (Class B or C).
- Coil Winding, typically for flow line type products but could include other products e.g. (Class B or C).
- Potting, typically for flow line type products but could include other products e.g. (Class B or C).
- Finishing of products ready for inspection / packing to include labelling, cleaning etc.
- Kit picking of spares & valves etc.
- Cleaning of components and assemblies.
- Basic testing e.g. resistance checking of coils, pretest of subassemblies to defined procedures and story boards.
- Packing of valves & components in accordance with procedures incorporating any documentation required.
- Assembly of crates for packing when required.
- Ensuring work area stock levels replenished in accordance with Kanban system.
- Assisting in knowledge/skills transfer to employees new to role.
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assisting in training and knowledge/skills transfer to employees new to role.
- Undertaking soldering when required.
- Recording accurate data using spread sheets and official documents when required.
- Ensuring workplace area is clean and tidy at commencement and end of shift.
- Performing other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.
The Person:
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions for example procedures, story boards etc.
- Good levels of manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- High level of attention to detail.
- PC literate.
- Flexible approach to work.
