The Purpose of the Role

The Head of Marketing will take overall responsibility for creating our marketing strategy in collaboration with our key stakeholders across the business.

The Head of Marketing will lead, manage and develop the marketing team and the roll out of the marketing strategy, including driving forward marketing campaigns to build brand awareness, drive leads and support the sales and wider business as and when required.


Core Responsibilities

  • Turn our business objectives into a robust and effective marketing strategy to help the business achieve its goals.
  • Manage and report on the marketing budget.
  • Stakeholder Management work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across sales and product management to ensure there is buy in and understanding about future marketing campaigns.
  • Support the B2B and residential sales teams with marketing campaigns and content to help them convert more prospects into revenue (including being available for B2B roadshows, events etc.) and involved in developing direct sales generation as and when required.
  • Contribute and support new revenue stream opportunities, including both residential and B2B streams.
  • Overseeing the creation and publishing of online content, supporting the team with managing the company webpage, creating and implementing the future strategy etc.
  • Support in lead generation via targeted marketing campaigns using a wideranging variety of marketing methods to reach a large target audience.
  • Overseeing all aspects of marketing including branding, advertising, public relations, social media, event planning, employee engagement, internal comms and more.
  • Support the marketing team / department in their daytoday duties, including supporting with event management, marketing campaigns, being visible across the business and promoting collaboration with the marketing team to achieve business objectives.
  • Promote and support in the continuous improvement of the marketing department and team using innovative thinking (e.g., automation, creating and implementing policies / procedures as necessary, drafting documentation etc.)
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by collecting and analysing data to measure return on investment (ROI) for each campaign and presenting to the SLT.
  • Keep up to date in regard to the Company's competitors and the external market including competitor AlTnets announcements, performance, progress, strategic direction / plans, proposed and actual build areas, investments and other important pieces of information.
  • People Management lead, manage, develop and motivate the marketing team / department.
  • Collaboration and support for our internal Stakeholder Engagement team.
  • Other duties as and when required/necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a Senior Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing role.
  • Knowledge of the telecoms industry and/or experience within the telecoms industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating, presenting, implementing and executing a marketing strategy that positively impacts awareness and pipeline growth in line with business objectives.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to present at board level.
  • Strong and demonstratable People Management experience, including the ability to motivate, inspire and motivate a developing team in a dynamic business and agile business.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Budget management experience.
