The targeted lung health checks (TLHC) programme is a new and ground-breaking flagship programme of work in England which will contribute to the ambition of the NHS Long Term Plan to improve early diagnosis and survival for those diagnosed with lung cancer.
The TLHC Administration Coordinator will be responsible for navigating patients referred into NUH as a result of significant findings on their TLHC CT scan.
On the most part these findings will be a suspected lung cancer but a number other findings requiring secondary care intervention will be referred into NUH.
The TLHC coordinator will work collaboratively with the wider screening project team to provide a seamless pathway for patients.Working for our organisation

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good all round education (i.e. 2 GCSEs at equivalent of grade 4 or above including English), or equivalent demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- NVQ level 4 in administration or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Essential criteria
- Experience in a customer/patient services environment, dealing with the members of the general public.
- Experience of working and liaising within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of using computerised systems including Microsoft Office (eg Word and Excel)
- Experience of working with an NHS Acute Trust.
Essential criteria
- Must be able to clearly and accurately convey information both written and verbally to different audiences including patients, GPs, managers, administration colleagues and clinicians.
- Ability to work as part of a team and quickly adapt to changing situations.

- Ability to work to defined policy, procedures, practice and instructions.
- Ability to recognise and advise speciality managers on operational issues and matters arising.
- Aptitude for detail and accurate data entry skills.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
