Ormiston Maritime Academy (OMA) is an energetic and exciting environment to work in.

We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who wants to bring new ideas and contribute to moving this provision forward at our academy.

Responsibilities include:

Work with an individual or small groups of students in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
Work with individual pupils with special educational and SEMH needs
Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities to pupils' responses as appropriate
May assist with the development of individual development plans for students
Select, prepare and clear away classroom materials and learning areas ensuring they are available for use, including developing and presenting displays
Arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the guidance of the teacher
May invigilate exams and tests
Supporting pupils emotional and social wellbeing
