Description

We are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Skills Coach to work for our client on a temporary to permanent basis, starting as a temporary worker and then moving over the a permanent position after 12 weeks.

The role will be predominately based in Rotherham but there will be some travel to meet learners and other housing professionals so a car driver/owner is essential.

The role is a really exciting and varied role where you would be responsible for rolling out a short training program to clients who are vulnerably housed and looking for a tenancy or people who have had tenancies before but have for some reason lost them.

You will be working as part of a small team and be involved in delivering training on a 121 or small group basis, usually the face-to-face training is arranged for learner with additional support needs and who benefit from a face-to-face training environment.

You will also be responsible for registering new learners onto the training portal, supporting them, or sometimes nudging them to complete their modules and being there should they have any questions or require additional help.

The organization as a whole has a number of strings to its bow, as well as offering tenancy support training, life skills coaching and community support to clients in their own tenancies in the community they also have their own project supporting young people who are vulnerably housed or leaving care.

You will role out and engage with the young people at the project to promote the training and get them engaged in its content however the coaching is also available to people of any age in the community who want to get onto the housing ladder and they must complete this to be considered for social housing.

The role will be a very challenging but rewarding role where no two days will be the same.

You will be working with young people, adults, people with mental health and learning disabilities and providing them with the tool to gain their own tenancy but more importantly sustain their own tenancy.

The role is funded for 12 months however this role could be extended if additional funding is granted.

The role is Monday to Friday 9-5pm however sometimes training session can be conducted during the evening or on a weekend so the person would need to be flexible around the needs of the business.

37 hours per week with benefits when you go permanent such as an additional wellbeing day per year, generous holidays and a Westfield Health plan.

To be considered for this role you will need to have 6 months experience as a coach, trainer, teacher and have experience delivering training both online and face to face - the age of the learners does not matter.

You must be happy to support learners with additional needs and have the ability to adapt your communication style according to the learners you are supporting.

You will be a team player but also be self-motivated, driver and can be autonomous.

The company is a growing organization so it could offer great career prospects for the right person as well as a great team who really help each other out.

You do not need to be a specialist in housing related support as the course content and sector can be taught to you on the job.

You must be outgoing and have the confidence to deliver training face to face but also have the ability to promote the course to potential refers and outside organisations.

You will work closely with the program developer and give feedback for amendments based on learner comments and usability.

To be considered for this role you must have 6 months experience in a trainer/coach capacity and have experience of delivering training to learners.

You will be a car driver/owner and have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions.

You must have a DBS or be happy to complete a new one and be happy for us to complete employment checks on you prior to starting the role.

You must be flexible to predominately work Monday to Friday but be flexible around the needs of the business to move your hours around and work the odd weekend or evening.
