Data and Analytics - SQL Database Administrator***
Location:Preston or Frimley.

Salary:
Circa £50K
What you'll be doing:
- Management of the D&A SQL infrastructure and underpinning databases, tables, views
- Configuration and maintenance of database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Analysing issues in real time, working with developers to provide suggestions for solutions. Assisting with complex query tuning and schema refinement
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Performing scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
- Informing future infrastructure & capacity change discussions with the Architecture team
- Setting & maintaining SQL database standards
- Installing & configuring new SQL server database environments as & when required
- Performing regular patching on database servers
- Performing backup and recovery on database servers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Extensive experience as a SQL Database Administrator
- Experience with administering SSIS packages
- Experience with OLAP database administration
- Customer service experience, strong relationship building, influencing and negotiating skills
- Committed work ethic in a fast paced environment
- Data Virtualisation knowledge & experience (TDV, STARBURST etc.)
- Experience in using Redgate tools including Redgate Monitor, SQL Prompt & Data Compare
- Experience in database development (SQL)
- ITIL Certified / proven experience
- BAE Systems knowledge & experience
