An international powerhouse within the world of contemporary and modern art is looking to appoint a Finance Director.

With three locations globally showcasing some of the most respected blue-chip, established and emerging artists, our clients' galleriesare welcoming spaces in which both seasoned and aspiring collectors can immerse themselves in the art world.


As the Finance Director, you shall report to the CEO and work closely with the other members of the leadership team.

Our client is looking for someone who can demonstrate a technical skillset together with the ability to act as a business partner for theCEO & other directors; to lead a team; to manage and develop direct reports; and, to drive a supportive, performance-oriented culture.


The role of Finance Director has overall control and responsibility for all aspects of the finance function and so it is crucial you are able to understand the key levers of a medium-sized business, combined with a willingness to be "hands on".

Required experience includes;

  • ACA/ACCA/ CIMA qualified with relevant post qualified experience
  • Experience working in an environment with high volume of transactions
  • Experience in a senior finance role with leadership and oversight
  • Handson and 'can do' attitude is of paramount importance.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, experienced management of teams
  • Ability to build effective relationship with different stakeholders across the business as well as with external partners (affiliates, auditors, local fiscal authorities).
  • A fastpaced environment with everchanging priorities and everdeveloping complexities is the place where you would thrive.

You will be responsible for:


  • Oversight of all aspects of finance including the management reporting, monthend close, audit process, tax, statutory reporting, cash management and business planning.
  • Providing clear management reporting and financial information to the CEO in order to drive decision making
  • Partnerting with the sales function on a broad range of high value transactions
  • Be the owner of the financial performance review process, lead and control the forecast and budget activities, deliver insightful business performance analyses and recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Full ownership of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow).
  • Lead Finance Team to robust finance processes in the aforementioned areas.
  • Ensure financial compliance with internal controls and external requirements.
  • Lead and coach the team members, ensure talent is proactively managed within the organisation.
