Southport

£25,000 - £30,000 (flexible depending on experience)

Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

I'm currently recruiting for a Customs Coordinator to join a well-established, family run, global liquid logistics company to support the current European and Deep-sea Operation.

Experience of making customs declarations since Brexit
Customs qualifications are highly desirable
Previous experience of handling import / export customs entries
Experience using Descartes, Destin8, Chief, CDS or similar systems
Previously worked for a freight forwarder or logistics company
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads
Genuinely passionate in finding solutions for clients
Experience of working within a fast paced shipping or logistics office

Duties and Responsibilities;

Ensuring that all clearance processes are completed in a complaint and timely manner.
Providing information to your team and customers directly relating to HMRC customs and excise for the import / export of shipment via sea and multimodal operations
Advising on the documentation necessary for direct import/export, transit movements
To ensure the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies. And ensure good query resolution
Monitoring customer volumes and highlighting unusual trends to management
Ensuring that all necessary custom clearance processes post Brexit are implemented in a timely and accurate fashion
Utilising your knowledge of customs tariffs, CPC codes and security declarations
