We are a well established and professional charitable organisation within the learning and education sector and we are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and committed Marketing & Communications Manager to be responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of partner and learner-focused activities as we enter a dynamic period of development.

The role is managing the marketing and comms function and not a people manger role, Working Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm with some flexibility, with free parking, 23 days holiday, contributory pension and some work from home once trained available.


The main duties of the role will cover: - Support the Director of Marketing & Communications in developing and executing a fully integrated marketing communications plan including all appropriate functions of the organisation for external audiences Draft communication collateral and materials, press releases, biographies, success stories, briefing notes and creating engaging digital content and copy Act as a brand champion to ensure the identity and values of the business are properly represented with abroad range of internal and external audiences Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of all communications including reporting on website analytics, social media and external media Where appropriate, develop effective relationships with relevant media contacts Deliver effective and timely communications/PR support to our events.


Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience: - Previous proven working experience in a communications and marketing role Experience of public relations and media engagement Experience in marketing campaigns and reporting Excellence in copywriting, producing/editing content (video/photos) and proofreading Ability to manage multiple internal relationships Experience of working on multiple projects with different deadlines Ability effectively to brief designers and suppliers A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience and understanding of social media channels, website including monitoring and performance analysis; knowledge of Canva, Hootsuite or similar packages an advantage Great creativity, being an excellent communicator, a high level attention to detail, collaborative, determined and resilient in approach In return, we can offer you the opportunity to join a well established, professional and personable organisation based locally who can build upon your existing skills and help you learn and develop too.
