What we're looking for
With the ongoing manufacture of new Submarines, LR needs to maintain the existing team in providing independent oversight of submarine construction and assurance activities.
The role represents an opportunity to become involved in and gain experience of high integrity and technically challenging marine construction.

The role
- Carry out survey activities in accordance with the Standards, procedures and contractual requirements in line with certificate of authorisation.
- Implement Safety Strategy on site and at subcontractors in the designated area.
- Undertake patrol and audit activities of steelwork construction.
- Provide technical resource and support to the Project Manager.
- Deal with local technical enquiries.
- Implement project systems and processes.
- Ensure that information and knowledge is shared with theProject Team members.
- Provide information for internal monthly reporting, progress and issues for the project
- Anticipate and Identify key technical challenges for the Project in specialist area and advise PM.
- Identify key personnel within the customer team and build relationships between them and LR
What you bring
- Experience of new construction hull surveys.
- Knowledge of national standards and codes, MED, PED, BSEN.
- Awareness of Naval & Classification rules.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive approach and able to work independently.
- UK National (sole) for security
