Description

An exciting opportunity has come for a Band 7 midwife to join our Band 8 midwife in supporting the service at our West Middlesex site to provide a safe, robust and consistent approach to fetal monitoring, including both continuous and intermittent fetal monitoring.

Staff will also support to:

Develop staff awareness in recognizing factors that could contribute to misinterpretation of cardiotocography (CTGs) and impaired clinical decision making.
Ensure staff are assessing fetal wellbeing in the context of the woman's health, pregnancy, gestational age, stage of labour, intrapartum risk factor.
To participate in teaching on multidisciplinary training days and facilitate learning opportunities following interesting case reviews.
To undertake audits to ensure compliance with fetal monitoring guidelines.
