Description

Our general operatives work on a 3 week rotating shift pattern, week 1, 6am - 2pm, week 2, 2pm - 10pm and week 3, 10pm - 6am.

YOU WILL BE WORKING ON ALL OF THESE SHIFTS ON THE ROTATING PATTERN.

As a general operative you will be involved in the day to day running of the site and ensuring that our customers receive the best quality product from the company.

Your day to day

General handling of steel products.
Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
Operation of overhead crane equipment.
Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.

What we are looking for:

MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE ALL OF THE 3 WEEK ROTATING SHIFTS:

Positive people with a can do attitude.
Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.

What we offer
- £12.99 per hour
- £40 per week shift allowance on night shift plus weekly production bonus

Overtime is often available.
40 hours per week (7 1⁄2 working day with 1⁄2 paid break)
Holidays 25 days per year + bank holidays
