Careerlink are currently seeking reliable and experienced Van Drivers to join our client's team based in Chorley.

As a Van Driver, your main responsibility will be to efficiently and safely deliver Brewery and electrical parts to engineers within the North West and Yorkshire area.

Additionally, you will be required to complete trunking runs to Banbury, North Preston, and back to Chorley. This is a temporary to permanent role, offering an excellent opportunity for long-term employment.

Pay:

£13.04 per hour

Rota:

Monday to Friday - 8pm - 4am / 6pm - 2am

Responsibilities:

Carry out 12 to 14 deliveries per shift within specified areas.
Load and unload the van independently, ensuring items are properly secured for transportation.
Utilize handheld scanners for tracking and recording deliveries (experience preferred but not essential).
Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain regular communication with the dispatch team and provide updates on delivery status.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with engineers and clients.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a van driver is essential.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to efficiently organize and plan delivery routes.
Good physical fitness for loading and unloading items.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and records.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work overnight shifts from 8 pm to 4 am for three weeks during Chorley routes and from 6 pm to 2 am for one week during trunking.
