Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary £27,560.00 per annum

We have grown rapidly since 2015 and are now looking to recruit additions to our Mortuary team, based at Charlton Park Crematorium, Andover, SP11 0TA.


The main purpose of the role: To receive clients into our care and ensure a smooth process from resting with us until point of cremation.


Key tasks:


  • Helping to encoffin our clients
  • Conducting all necessary ID checks
  • Processing all associated paperwork
  • Assisting our crematorium team in the preparation of clients for the cremation process
  • Cataloguing and recording all personal effects and jewellery
  • Updating the mortuary register
  • Assisting in the safe and secure transfer of the deceased from our receiving mortuary to our resting care centre
  • Preparing and placing nameplates on coffins for attended service
  • Report the requirement for maintenance or repair of equipment
  • Responsibility for cleanliness of our mortuary areas and to ensure that appropriate clinical waste procedures are followed
  • Completing daily records to confirm cleaning rotas have been completed
  • Assist in receiving essential stock items
  • Monitor and record stock levels, reporting low stocks to the Deputy Mortuary Manager
  • Acting appropriately and enforcing company expectations relating to behaviours at all times
