SCC are Europe's largest privately-owned technology business, with our Head office in Birmingham, with a turnover £750m+.Currently as we continue with our Dynamics implementation across the whole business, we have a requirement for a Head of Head of Management Accounts to join on an initial 12-month contract, to support our CFO, as we continue to grow, invest, and develop.


Key Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Director of Financial Control, you will be responsible for all aspects of Management Accounting, reporting financial performance across all of SCC's UK business units, working with the Finance business partners and FP&A team to develop annual Budgets and monthly forecasts, as well as ensuring that balance sheet reconciliations are certified monthly across the team.


  • Producing and publishing reliable and accurate financial information
  • Lead monthly financial performance reviews with the business unit heads and providing insight into performance vs the key comparators
  • Lead the team to support regular forecast and budget submissions
  • Ensure control and compliance and support of the annual statutory audit process
  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance & FP&A teams providing analytics and foresight into financial performance, proactively investigating trends and anomalies in financial reporting
  • You will continually assess management accounting processes with a view to improving and streamlining the production of financial information
  • You will lead the Management Accounting team, motivating, coaching to providing continual evaluation and feedback to ensure the personal and career development of the team
  • Key skills & experience:
  • Relevant accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Solid post qualified experience in a large corporate environment
  • Experience in leading a team of management accountants is a prerequisite.
You will be technically strong and have experience in working within a complex, multi-faceted business.

  • Excellent communication & reporting skills
