Our local authority client has a 3-month contract vacancy (with the possibility of extension) for the role of a CARPENTER, details as follows

Job Purpose

To carry out various aspects of Carpentry and Muti Skilled works to our Housing stock across the district while the property is Void to improve our housing stock across the district, such as, Kitchen repairs, Bathroom repairs, internal door replacements,and various other repairs.

You will be joining a busy team, so must be self-motivated and able to operate under your own initiative.

Responsibilities

To undertake all works to the required standard in accordance with current regulations following manufacturer's instructions.
Working to the required timescales.
To liaise with the Asset Management Support Team to ensure job activities are scheduled effectively.
To utilise all tools, accessories and equipment issued in an appropriate manner.
Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

Must have a trade background and have had at least 12 months experience.
This role does require good computer literacy as part of the role you will be provided with a PDA to receive your work.
5 years+ experience within the construction industry, with own tools and transport essential.
Must hold a full driving license and supply own transport covered by business insurance
Basic plumbing knowledge
Basic Plastering patch skills
