eXactitude is supporting an international business with the recruitment of a new Group Accountant who will have a European focus to join the head office of a large listed IT services business based in Newbury.

There will be some (but not onerous) internationaltravel.

This role would suit a Qualified Accountant who offers strong technical reporting and first-class communication skills.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the Group meets all its European financial reporting by establishing effective processes and procedures and key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare accurate and timely European monthly consolidated management accounts, consolidated budgets and forecasts, including review of Group companies' submissions for a number of entities.
  • Enhance reporting of consolidated information as required by management.
  • Manage the reporting timetable for actuals, budgets and forecasts, with a view to improving the time taken and quality of reporting.
  • Business partnering with international management
  • Undertake technical review of accounting standards and assess their impact on Group accounting policies and reporting.
  • Develop the financial reporting processes.
  • Help prepare annual statutory accounts for several entities, including consolidated statutory accounts of the Group.
  • Help coordinate the Group audit process and be the primary point of contact with external auditors.

About you:


  • You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who has experience of Group reporting, statutory accounts production and consolidation. A background working in a in a fastpaced, preferably international, environment is a strong preference or youwill be a top 6 qualified looking to move into commerce.
  • Knowledge of production of budgets and forecasts is key and advanced Excel essential.
  • Character wise, the Group Accountant will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy with a good work ethic and an honest, proactive, confident, and selfmotivated approach.
  • This is a great opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join an internal business with mínimal supervision offering a 3day working week in the office and 2 days working from home arrangement.
