We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Diagnostic Lung Pathway Coordinator to join the Lung diagnostic team. Whilst the main base for this post will be St Mary's Hospital it is likely that the post holder will on occasion be required to cover the other diagnostic departments located at Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital


Reporting to the NSS RDC pathway coordinator, the coordinators main responsibilities will be to provide a comprehensive administrative tracking and appointment coordination service for suspected Lung Cancer Patients during the early part of their investigations.

The Diagnostic Lung Pathway Coordinator will be responsible for the quality check of referrals ensuring that all relevant information is present before the clinical triage takes place.

The Diagnostic Lung Pathway Coordinator will liaise with Primary Care teams and any other services to ensure that all relevant information is collated.

The post holder will work both directly and indirectly with patients and their carers providing the patient with regular, relevant information and support when referred with a suspected cancer
