Remote Surveillance is based in Bristol Avonmouth.
Overview:
We have currently four engineers over two locations predominantly at the Bristol office.
The role would be based out of the office so the engineers would come into the office each day prep their jobs for the day and then go out to carry out the works and would usually return back to the office at the end of the working day.
Because we have two offices, D7 office based in Bristol takes care of all jobs right down to Cornwall and as far north as Birmingham, where has our office based in Dewsbury deals with jobs down to Birmingham and up to Scotland.
The engineer would be shadowing initially a senior engineer Jake Mutter to build his skill set, and until he is competent in this role, and then this would progress to him going out jobs by himself to fault, find install or dismantle temporary installations or work on permanent, Installations, where maintenance is required.
Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]:
- Designing, building and maintaining modern IP CCTV, and alarm systems
- Providing fault, finding on existing CCTV systems and fixes
There will be some overnight stays (food and accommodation costs covered by the company) - frequency depends on the job we may have to do for example, put a solar farm in and that would be five nights away and this will happen two to three times a year as a guide.
Most the time it would only be a single night away and that would happen once to twice a month.
What we are looking for:
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of IP networking, but not necessary
- Knowledge of analogue, TV systems, but not necessary
- Knowledge of alarm systems, but not necessary
Personal qualities:
- Initiative
- Punctuality
- Pride in one's own work
Entry requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

40 hours per week,
8:00am - 4:30pm but can do 7:00am - 3:30pm, [flexible]

Important Information:
QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
