Join our client's dynamic team as an Finance Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of their manufacturing and service-based organisation.

Based in Bulwell, you'll be responsible for supporting both the purchase and sales ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:


Purchase Ledger:


  • Streamline the purchase ledger processes by distributing, coding, and inputting invoices on a daily basis.
  • Keep a keen eye on stock and machine invoices, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships through monthly statement reconciliations and weekly payment processing.
  • Address general purchase ledger queries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Play a pivotal role in financial transparency by allocating and posting payments weekly and setting up new supplier accounts as needed.

Sales Ledger:


  • Assist in the credit control procedures to ensure timely payment from customers.
  • Facilitate smooth transactions by taking card payments over the phone and setting up new customer accounts promptly.

Credit Cards:


  • Maintain financial accuracy by distributing monthly credit card expenses and chasing missing receipts or invoices when required.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Keep the financial records uptodate through cashbook updates and meticulous archiving and filing of documents.

Requirements:


  • Possess strong numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft products, to effectively manage financial data.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with outstanding organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrate a customercentric approach with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to our office environment as a team player.
  • Exhibit flexibility and effective time management skills to thrive in a fastpaced manufacturing and service industry environment.

Package:


  • Fulltime position: Monday to Friday, 9 am 5 pm (35 hours).
  • Officebased role in Bulwell, at the heart of our manufacturing and service operations.
