Full Time, Fixed Term until November 2024.


The Future Bright project is seeking a Career Progression Coach who will be responsible for working with individuals, helping them achieve their full potential by assisting participants into a new career, training or education.


The average person in the UK spends around 3,507 full days in work - Future Brights' aim is to make sure those days make the residents we support feel happy and fulfilled.

Future Bright is delivered by local councils across the West of England.

By joining the team as a career progression coach you will be responsible for a caseload of participants working with them for 3 to 6 months to:


  • Support your participants to create a career action plan
  • Explore career progression opportunities with your participants
  • Help to build confidence and motivation of your participants
  • Provide information and advice on other services
  • Signpost to specialist support including training, money, benefits, counselling and selfemployed business support

How do I apply?
**For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
