HSED Advisor
An opportunity to join the UK's leading Train Maintenance company who specialise in light & heavy maintenance across six different depots within the UK.
This role is pivotal in assisting and supporting raise the health and safety standards and compliance across the depots and offices by actively encouraging and facilitating engagement and cooperation between all employees and departments.
You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager, with the HSEQ office being based at their Crewe Depot - the Advisor can be based at any of the 6 depots across the country but would need to travel to Crewe for required meetings or as and when required - circa twice per month.
Key responsibilities for this HSEQ Advisor role:
- Work on a range of health and safety topics across the depots including COSHH, manual handling, DSEAR, risk assessments etc. Provide support and guidance to all depots.
- Write, review, and provide input to a HSEQ policies, procedures, and other documentation such as controlled forms.
- Provide key health and safety knowledge to all employees / departments.
- Use Barbour to update legal registers.
- Attend and contribute to HSEQ team meetings.
- Perform internal HSEQ audits / inspections / depot tours & support external audits.
- Use Sypol for COSHH management.
- To cover some of the HSEQ Managers duties whilst absent from the company.
Experience required for this HSEQ Advisor role:
- Health and Safety
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
- Safety and environmental legal knowledge
- Experience with / trained to internal auditor for ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001, RM
- COSHH experience
- Legionella management experience
- Full driving licence
- Knowledge and experience of fire risk assessments desirable
- Be prepared to travel to other rail depots throughout the country with the occasional over night stay (where required).
Package offered for this HSEQ Advisor role:
- 37.5 hours per week, 8:00
- 16:00
