Unite Students has a fantastic new opportunity to join our Commercial team in a senior role as Revenue Manager for a 12 month fixed-term contract.


The Revenue Manager will be responsible for driving and maximising all top-line revenues across all revenue streams including nominations and direct let business, ensuring the optimisation of the revenue mix through management of pricing, inventory, andtenancy length.


The Revenue Manager will develop, enhance, and implement effective revenue management strategies across the portfolio for the delivery of commercial out performance of the estate.

Will lead the Commercial Analytics team, driving valuable internal insightto support and measure all commercial decisions. Proactively communicate trends, opportunities and risk. Support the teams to work effectively with the systems and tools provided.


During the fixed term, the role will also be responsible for supporting the scoping, designing, and providing thought leadership as well as leading the implementation of a new booking engine.

This will include a review of pricing and inventory structureand implementation of a channel strategy.


What you'll be doing

  • Support the build and delivery the annual revenue budget and proposition strategy for the portfolio
  • Complete revenue forecasts, as required including a regular review of actual and forecast performance against the business plan and adjust strategy and tactics as required to achieve agreed targets
  • Support development and delivery of optimal pricing across all both direct let and higher education nominations
  • Monitor competitor pricing and understand the dynamics of the local and international markets as well as demand generators.
  • Manage rate loading and rate management across all systems and channels
  • Deliver effective inventory management to maximise total revenue, including views on tenancy length and room type optimisation.
  • Maintain contemporaneous knowledge of the competitive marketplace (key competitors, renovations, new openings, brand changes), to inform revenue management strategy and tactics
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of market demand generators (businesses leaving/entering the market, special projects, city events, national events, political factors, economic factors, technology etc.)
  • Assist in analysing revenue management opportunities and strategies for new and potential acquisitions and development opportunities
  • Analyse, and develop as necessary, revenue performance analysis across all commercial metrics and KPIs
  • Provide monthly reporting on portfolio performance
  • Work closely with the regional teams to capture insight, analysis, and recommendations to drive the top line including providing guidance on deal structures and providing sales targets and measurement
  • Directly lead and manage the Commercial Analytics team including recruitment and be mindful of succession planning, ensuring effective and up to date personal development plans and performance reviews are maintained for the team, including performance managementas required.

What we're looking for in you

  • Previous experience in a Revenue leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with logical reasoning skills and business intelligence
  • A proactive communicator who also has an eye for detail and can communicate effectively with strong and impactful presentation and reporting skills
  • Focused individual who is commercially astute, while being creative and drives innovation through an indepth knowledge and experience of the digital technology and marketing landscape's best practice, trends and developments
  • Able to interpret complex information to deliver overview of key points to the commercial team to enable each person to complete their responsibilities in a timely, effective, and efficient manner
  • Are comfortable with systems and ensuring they are getting the most out of them in terms of functionality and reporting., including staying abreast of new systems introduced.
  • A flexible approach to their work and has an ability to multitask whilst retaining a high level of accuracy
  • A proactive attitude to activating and evolving the Unite Students commercial and revenue strategy
