Description

We are currently seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic SEND Primary Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs within schools around Stockport, specifically in Hazel Grove, Reddish, and Adswood.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be assigned to schools where you will work closely with class teachers in providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).


Responsibilities:


  • Providing 1:1 or group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of personalised learning activities.
  • Encouraging pupils to become more confident and independent learners.
  • Liaising with teachers, parents and other professionals to ensure the child's needs are fully met.
  • Helping with sensory integration activities, personal care, and medication administration.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with and supporting children with SEND within a primary school setting.
  • A passion for helping children with additional needs overcome barriers to learning.
  • An empathetic, caring, and patient approach to working with children with additional needs.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Minimum Level 2 TA qualification or relevant experience.
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

Start Date:
After Easter

The daily rate of pay is between £75 and £85 depending on experience.
