Description
The Operational Risk Manager sits within the Operational Risk team. Their role is to support the Operational Risk Director and Chief Risk Officer in achieving these objectives. They will lead day-to-day Operational Risk engagement with Investment teams,as well as overseeing the risk appetite framework.

Responsibilities Operational Risk Management.

Lead operational risk review workshops in Investment Teams, providing constructive challenge to risk owners to ensure that risks are identified and assessed appropriately, and following up on proposed action plans to ensure they are implemented.
Manage the risk assessment and acceptance process for new activities across the bank
Conduct rootcause analysis on risk events identified by Investment Teams, recommending actions to reduce the likelihood of future errors. Risk Governance
Lead the annual refresh of the risk appetite statement.

Identify and take responsibility for initiatives to enhance understanding and embedding of the risk appetite across the business. - Act as risk representative and provide expert advice on major change initiatives across the operations.

Act as secretariat for Reputational Risk Committee

Profile

For this Operational Risk Manager role:
Operational Risk Management experience to an experienced and lead level.

Investment Banking background.

Experience in working effectively with front office business on promoting and using risk management.
