Description

We are currently recruiting for our client, a well-known Steelworks Contractor in Port Talbot, for a Process Operator.

This is a full-time position, working on a 4-on-4-off shift rota, 12-hour days and nights, which will become permanent once the probationary period has been successfully completed.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Accepting external and internal deliveries of material
Monitoring and controlling the feed of different types of material to a bunker system via conveyor belts
Dealing with internal and external clients and customers
Reporting and recording daily process figures and deliveries
Reporting issues & breakdowns to the management team
Operating computer based monitoring systems
Coordinating internal / external logistics and deliveries
Complying with existing working methods and SWPs, and making suggestions of improvements

Suitable applicants will have:

Experience of working with conveyor systems and managing stock levels in an industrial environment
A flexible approach to working hours, prepared and able to work overtime when required
A full drivers licence and your own transport
A CCNSG Site Safety Passport, or the ability to obtain one

Annual expected earnings in the region of £32,000 to start which will raise to increasing to £36,000 once training is completed.

You will also be eligible for a quarterly bonus once probation has been completed.
