Executive Assistant

Based in Orpington (hybrid working, 2 days from home)

Full-time, Permanent position

Salary:
£35,000


Here at Howells we are working with a leading savings and investment specialist to recruit a skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to join their team in Orpington.


It will be your job to provide minute taking and action tracking for all board and committee meetings, as well as providing high level professional and confidential secretarial, administrative, project and support services to all members of the Society's Leadership Team.


Duties:


  • Prepare and circulate agendas, minutes, schedules of actions and other papers as required for Leadership Team meetings and circulate as appropriate.
  • Prepare, for review by the Secretariat, draft agendas, draft minutes and draft schedules of actions in respect of Board meetings, Board Committee meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Maintain schedules of Outstanding Actions for all Board meetings, Board Committee meetings and Leadership Team meetings and the conduct of enquiries by way of followup as necessary.
  • Plan the annual Board & Committee schedule.
  • Assist with the coordination, finalisation and submission of reports and other papers prepared by members of the Leadership Team for Leadership Team Meetings, Board Meetings, Board Committee meetings and any other meetings as required.
  • Ensure that all Board and Committee reports, and other papers are prepared in a timely manner and that they conform to the required style, format and content adopted within the Society.
  • Coordinating Staff events
  • Diary Management
  • CEO Support

Essential and Desirable Criteria:


  • GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team.
  • High quality minute taking.
  • Written report preparation and production.
  • An understanding of the UK financial services sector and its regulatory environment

  • An understanding of the mutual model and the benefits it provides for members. desirable but not essential
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with an eye for detail.
  • To understand the importance of and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programmes to an advanced level
