A quick look at the role.
The Quality team supervisor monitors the quality of incoming/outgoing materials to the MRF code of practise standards.

Days of work:
Monday to Friday - 5 days a week


Start and finish time:

The Biffa division you'll be supporting.
Within
Resources & Energy we focus on the treatment, recycling and disposal of waste.

It provides a number of treatment services for those materials that can be recovered and landfill disposal for those that are not suitable for recycling or energy recover.


Why it's an opportunity not to be wasted.

  • To monitor and audit compliance of incoming/outgoing material to predetermined parameters. Provide feedback to the site management and commercial teams.
  • Assisting the production team with managing the quality of material produced and the efficiency of the processing plant.
  • Carry out assist in the completion of onsite quality/production monitoring reports.
  • To ensure that sufficient stock rotations is maintained on all the incoming and rejected materials.
  • To assist in managing the Sites ISO accreditations (9001, including the monitoring of reports.
  • Ensure sufficient quantity and quality of gravimetric samples are taken and completed to comply with the commercial teams requirements, contract requirements and MRF Code of Practice requirements.
  • Work closely with the commercial team and site management to highlight poor quality material entering the facility.
  • Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the team & site.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote quality received and dispatched from site.
  • Ensuring that the correct number of quality samples are completed.
  • Compiling weekly and monthly reports for the Site Management and Commercial teams.
  • Complying with contract requirements regarding rejections and downgrades.
  • Collating data for the EA quarterly waste returns.

Requirements:


Here's what we require:


  • IOSH working safely/managing safely would be beneficial.
  • Previous team leading experience and analytical nature.
  • Experience in the management and auditing of ISO standards.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office packages
  • Able to coach, mentor and lead others.
  • Able to be organised, plan and prioritise workload
