  • Experience of undertaking Section 42 enquiries
  • Safeguarding adult expertise experience
  • Hold a current registration body

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body

Role responsibilities:


  • To support the adult CMHTs in the delivery of Adult Safeguarding duties as detailed in the section 75 agreement with Manchester City Council.
  • To promote the Care Act's Safeguarding Principles.
  • To triage adult safeguarding referrals and make decisions in relation to the most appropriate response taking into consideration risk, safety and making safeguarding personal.
  • To undertake Section 42 enquiries.
  • To coordinate, attend and participate in strategy meetings and case conferences under adult safeguarding procedures, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to keep serviceusers safe.
  • To document assessments/interventions and decisionmaking on the Trusts clinical record system.
  • To escalate any areas of risk, themes to the Senior Leadership Teams.
  • To ensure own Safeguarding knowledge reflects best practice standards by committing to regular training events/conferences/practice development events.
  • To have expert knowledge of relevant law, policies and procedures which will inform adult safeguarding practice for example, Care Act, MCA, DVA.

£19.10 per hour
