6 month contract role working for a Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturer
.

A Mechanical Electrical Fitter is required with knowledge of build and assembly, reading electrical and mechanical drawings, basic mechanical and electrical fault finding and fitting.

Due to workload this design and manufacturer based in Redditch requires an experienced, dynamic, leading Electromechanical Fitter to work a 37.5 hour day shift on a 6 month project.

As an Electromechanical Fitter, you will be required to:

Mechanical / Electrical assembly of special purchasebuilt machines, jigs and fixtures.
Read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
Electrically Install looms, control panels and cabinets
Mechanically install and fit drives
Light steel fabrication to build bench or framework
Ability to carry out minor adjustments to mechanical components using lathes, milling machines and surface grinders.
Experienced in carrying out Electrical & Mechanical fault finding.
Experienced in reading and working to detail and general assembly engineering drawings. Competent in electrical panel wiring.
Basic Knowledge of Stepper Motors, Control Systems, Sensors and BUS systems would be advantageous
Ability to fault find on DC control systems
Proven experience of working in a similar fitting role

The Mechanical Electrical Fitter should have the following Qualifications:

Proven experience to a similar level role
Time served apprentice or Minimum ONC level engineering / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
