2x Senior PMO Support

Contract Term: 9 months

Contracting Authority:

Location:
Hybrid with 2 weeks a week in Glasgow


As a Senior PMO Support, your main responsibilities would be:

  • Becoming the MyCO/ Matrix programme planning interface, leading on Cabinet Office input to Matrix activity planning and representing the dept at the Matrix planning working group
  • Providing Matrix Programme business case coordination support for the department, ensuring key stakeholders are involved and fully briefed at the right times.
  • Take the lead on large scale governance and approvals (inc SME/ keyholder reviews and coordination of joint investment committees)
  • Working with Matrix PMO on activity coordination, ensuring key inputs from Cabinet Office are taken into account and relaying information back to the departments SME's
  • Becoming a key liaison with Directors offices across Matrix Cluster depts and expertly manage those relationships.
  • Contribute to the creation of Comms and engagement plans, supporting the central team as/ when required
  • Take the lead for the dept with regard to Matrix Information requests and the management of those requests.
  • Support business case development of benefits
- identification, metrics, governance and sign off by business areas, log, tracking and realising those benefits.

  • Provide more general programme support, functional support and the coordination of wider team activitie

You'll have relevant experience in:


  • Experience of working in corporate governance and/ or performance and risk management teams in a public sector organisation
  • Experience / awareness of Cabinet Office/ Public Sector approval procedures
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and pressured environment, whilst balancing a large number of competing priorities
  • Excellent communications and drafting skills, including minute writing
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • Exercise sound judgement and the ability to think laterally in order to make connections between different areas of work within the department that others may have missed
  • A track record in maintaining effective relationships with a wide variety of people, including senior officials
  • Knowledge and awareness of key policy and change initiatives across the Cabinet Office
  • Strong organisational skills
  • CTC clearance
