To assist the team manager with the effective running of the team, facilitating a high-performance and accurate culture, supporting team members through regular performance check-in conversations.

Work with the team manager and other team leader(s) to set objectives for the team. Establishing training and development plans to support the skills development required at team and individual level.

To assist the team manager with the effective running of the team, facilitating a high-performance and accurate culture, supporting team members through regular performance check-in conversations.

Work with the team manager and other team leader(s) to set objectives for the team. Establishing training and development plans to support the skills development required at team and individual level.


A good understanding of the Life Assurance industry is desirable, and a good working knowledge of the Isle of Man Anti Money Laundering regulatory environment and knowledge of trust and company structures is essential.

Understanding of Anti Money Laundering requirements in other jurisdictions would be useful.

A passion for supporting the growth and development of people through clear and supportive communication is an important attribute for this role and experience of people management is desirable.

Familiarity with analysing data and providing solutions to reach desired results, collaboration and teamwork are essential.

Maintaining a no blame culture but supporting people to take ownership, be open and honest when required and provide sufficient training and support to enable the team to be the best that they can be.

Experience with delivering AML training, updating AML procedures and quality assurance or compliance monitoring is desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leader

  • Accountable for the coordination of the team's activities, escalating concerns and providing recommended solutions
  • Communicating positively with the team in relation to targets and quality
Process Management

  • Proactive, solutionsbased approach to understanding issues which arise, and then able to implement actions according to Policies and Procedures.
Team Working

  • Providing cover and support for the manager and other AML Team Leader(s) during periods of absence and/or covering for any required meetings.
  • Support the manager with recruitment when required.
  • Support the team with daily tasks when required.
  • Contribute to team motivation, through regular team catch ups and team meetings. Influencing a culture of inclusion, crossteam collaboration, recognition, and support.
  • Working with own peer group to share best practices and learnings, helping to drive the success of the team leader community and the ongoing development of Utmost employees.
AML Technical Specialist

  • Able to deal with technical AML enquiries from within the team and from the wider business, signposting to the appropriate procedure or legislation / guidance.

Salary:
£46,000.00-£59,000.00 per year
