About the role:_


We are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic positive SEN Teaching Assistant for an excellent primary school based in BS3, Bristol.

This is a full role working Mon

  • Friday 8:303:15pm.


This role is in a small, diverse & inclusive community school, where the staff and children are caring, respectful and co-operative.

You will be apart of a friendly, bubbly team of staff who are very supportive of each other. You will work closely together to promote the school's ethos
'aspire, achieve, believe'.
You will be working in the school's Resource Base provision with children who have a diagnosis of Autism.

You will be helping the children engage in activities, reading with them & managing their behaviour in a group setting & 1:1.

You will need to be a TA who can remain calm in stressful situations and can positively manage challenging behaviour.

You will be expected to de
- escalate any difficult situations with the children.


You will be involved in outdoor activities with the children, as this school has a large school field, a huge playground & a fully functional, well-used forest school.

They work hard to ensure outdoor spaces play an important part of learning.


What the School is looking for:
The Head Teacher is looking for a positive, open-minded and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. They would like someone who is passionate about making sure all children have access to an excellent education. If you are Team Teach trained this would be preferred, but not essential.

This is a happy & vibrant busy school despite the large size, belonging & empathy is at the heart of it.

You will need to be someone who is willing to go above & beyond towards the children's learning journey.
