We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, organised, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to fulfil this secretarial role within the Clinical Haematology department at Torbay Hospital.

You must demonstrate and have knowledge of a full range of secretarial procedures acquired through relevant qualifications or proven practical experience.

You should have a good level of education (2 GCSE's (9-4) or A-C and word processing/typing RSA III or equivalent.

You will be responsible for a wide variety of administration dutiesto provide high quality secretarial, administrative and clerical support to Consultant Haematologists, maintaining departmental and Trust standards in line with Standard Operating Procedures, help and support the Practice Manager to undertake change management andensure patients are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect.

Provide a high secretarial service to the Consultant Haematologists
Liaise with staff at all levels effectively both internally and externally to the Hospital
Use Trust systems for typing, logging of information and data
Be responsible for all aspects associated with your role
Be flexible in approach to cover across the Service when required
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

You will be joining a highly motivated team of 2 secretaries and 1 secretarial assistant who support 6 Haematology Consultants and a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists.

We have a very high work ethic which includes live typing and managing our own patient lists internally. We offer Malignant and Non-Malignant services to our patients and manage all the administration in house.
