**Project Manager
Salary £65,000 - £70,000 - dependent on experience

37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work for a leading employer in Luton.


Role overview - Project Manager


To support the Senior Infrastructure Programme Leader with efficient and effective programme controls and support covering: Cost, schedule, risk, process controls, reporting and governance.

Acting in the role of "critical friend" to the Programme Heads andLead Managers to support them in the delivery of critical milestones as well as issue escalation and resolution for their respective workstream deliverables in relation to the DCO & other critical projects.

**Principal Responsibilities

  • Project Manager*
  • Manage projects on a daytoday basis including liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Ongoing decision making within agreed mandate, with escalation and issue management. Ensure effective processes and controls are adhered to within the DCOoperating framework established.
  • Support the delivery of the DCO plan and activities through to end of Examination.
  • Oversee and manage the critical milestones across departments to ensure timely and quality submissions for the DCO and other critical programmes / projects. This will include supporting functions in drafting company responses to the DCO (with input fromand working with others at company).
  • Support the effective management of governance and reporting for programmes / projects and where required manage escalation process to DCO steering group.
  • Close liaison with relevant key stakeholders to ensure company maintain alignment with delivery schedule to support Examination engagement / responses.
  • Deliver, oversee and support programme reporting requirements including the establishment and effective implementation of meeting/networking requirements.
  • Maintain projectrelated documentation including document control, markingup, distribution and archiving as required including decision logs etc.
  • Support the procurement, appointment and management of company resources and advisors/consultants including measurement of performance/delivery.
  • Lead or support other programs / infrastructure projects as agreed from time to time.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience - Project Manager

  • Significant demonstrable relevant experience in development and programme management with a track record of delivering projects in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience of working in a similar programme (desired but not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarise complex issues effectively to gain buyin from stakeholders.
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to effectively balance key programme objectives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft Office products including the use of MS Project.
  • Ability to assimilate complex, volumetric data and to simplify for users.
