An exciting opportunity to join our busy People Operations Business Support Administration team here at NHS SCW.

The role will support and provide the provision of an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the People Operations team and to always maintain confidentiality.


The role holder is expected to work using their own initiative and to be able to deliver and coordinate multiple tasks and team requirements.

Key elements of the role are to support the creation and maintaining accurate records of information and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate planned and reactive works.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the People Support Administration team and wider People Operations teams.

There will be an expectation for the post holder to be highly motivated, flexible, and multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills.

The post holder will have a high standard of skills using Microsoft Office packages and experience in varied administration tasks.

The post holder will need to meet deadlines, collate data and maintain standards relating to administrative processes. They will need to be able to work within a team effectively and share work streams where appropriate.

The role will involve supporting the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems.

The role is part-time 22.5 hrs per week (3 days split over Monday to Friday) on a permanent basis.


Remote working, however, there may be times when you are required to visit site offices throughout the SCWs geographical footprint.

  • Support and undertake various administration tasks meeting management, organisational filing, travel arrangements, ID badges, references, supporting leads with other business administration tasks and supporting other staff within the directorate.
  • To help support internal databases and provide necessary reporting data for agreed target monitoring.
  • Support the management of appointments, meetings, and events on behalf of the service, making bookings where necessary and ensuring all equipment and documentation are available.
  • To support the production of agendas and minutes for highlevel and confidential meetings
  • Create required POs (where requested by dept leads), and receipt in goods via the internal ISFE system.
  • Assist in the development of ongoing Business Administration training presentations and documentation content, relating to various task elements undertaken via the dept.
