Description

Genomics is key to transforming healthcare in England and is undergoing significant transformation to create state-of-the-art Genomics Hubs with access to high performance equipment and informatics in order to support a highly-skilled workforce.

Developing the scientific and technical workforce is vital to the success of the national Genomics Medicine Service (GMS) but this cannot be achieved without excellent education and training.

To support this, Health Education England in collaboration with NHS England are developing the national Genomics Training Academies and providing additional training resource within each GLH.

Education specialist posts will be advertised in each GLH region over the next few weeks, as well as national posts to work within the Genomics Training Academy.

Applications are invited for 2newTrainer Educator posts within the North Thames Genomic Laboratory Hub (GLH).

These posts have been funded to enable the delivery of Training for all staff across the GLH region, and to support national training through the recently created Genomics Training Academy.

Applicants should have experience of managing training programmes, and should be qualified with either FRCPath part 1 in Genomics, or a related discipline, OR a post-graduate qualification in Education.
