Description

Clinical:

Surgical on call at SHO/RSO level resident on call; 1 in 7 for day-time/weekend on call and 1 in 10 for night-time resident on-call for Freeman Hospital based surgical specialties.

Ward work Ward rounds, supervision of FY1s and on-call cover Out-patient clinic participation Operating Experience Assisting with emergency and planned operations.


Administrative:

Letter and discharge summary writing Ward and Out-patient documentation including dictation of clinic letters Research: The primary focus for non-clinical activity is the participation in in the recruitment to national research studies portfolio.

Opportunity to develop local research projects with ability to lead or co-lead some aspects.

Maturation of research CV through the above activities and potential out-puts such as presentations and publications


Teaching:
Supervision and teaching of foundation year doctors.
