This role is full-time temp to perm and will be paying between £24,054 - £26,845.

This company have 8 schools across Halton, Knowlsey and Sefton and although the post will be based in the central team, there may be a need to travel to one of the schoolswithin the Trust from time to time.


Job Duties

  • To liaise with School Line Managers to ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently.
  • To provide advice and support to schools with regards to core HR policies, including Sickness Absence, Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability and Appraisal/Performance Management processes.
  • Support schools and the Trust in relation to recruitment.
  • Keep up to date with regards to legislative changes that may impact the Trust HR provision. Build HR capacity within the trust, signposting trust leaders to places where they can develop their knowledge and skills related to managing their staff.
  • Support the implementation of the Trust's HR information system, Every HR, including user access and generating reports.
  • Make use of the Trust's external HR/Legal advisory support providers were necessary
  • Provide HR administrative support for contract preparation and payroll administration to ensure consistent and up to date contracts are issued/records are kept by the Trust.
  • Support the wider HR team on the trust's approach to organisational change, such as restructuring, redundancy and TUPE
  • Monitor staff wellbeing and engagement programmes that match the Trust's vision and ethos, reporting any concerns on their use/impact to Trust leaders as appropriate. Act as a point of contact for staff questions about HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with the trust's 'safer recruitment' procedures alongside the Trust Safeguarding Lead, including compliance with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and training requirements
  • Appropriately signpost leaders to the Trust's procedures for handling allegations against adults, and facilitate liaison with external agencies as required

  • Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ideally have experience of working with SIMS.
  • Experience of working in an educational environment is preferred but not essential.
