Job Information


The Statutory SEND Team receives and coordinates requests for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA) and, produces and maintains Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for children and young people 0-25 years.

We're working to improve the lives of children in Somerset - and you'll be a key part of that.

Your day-to-day work will involve:
Working within a busy, collaborative and supportive administrative team.

Data entry using a variety of platforms e.g.

Case management system.

Meeting administration including notetaking at multi-agency meetings.

Direct liaison with schools and other local authorities.

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be.

But it will really help if you have:
Strong ICT skills - Microsoft Office 365.

Good organisation and communication skills.

Knowledge of the Education system, Special Educational Needs or Children's Services.


This is an exciting opportunity to join Children's Services providing specialist, high quality business support to the Statutory Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teams.


This role includes playing a valuable part in assisting the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments process by coordinating Collaborative Outcome Meetings by liaising with Operational colleagues, Education Settings and families.
