Job brief


We are looking for an experienced and organised individual to ensure Daisy Chain reception delivers an efficient, and effective, and professional service.

The role will be a central point for all visitors to Daisy Chain and will also provide administrative support to teams within Daisy Chain.

This by nature is a very varied role, which requires a high level of versatility and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.

Hours-19 hours per weekdays Monday and Tuesday 8.30 am to 16.30pm and Wednesday afternoon.

12:00 pm to 16:30 pm, these hours are part of a job share.

Salary
- £22,393.80 per annum, pro rata


Key Tasks

  • Be a friendly and welcoming face for all visitors to Daisy Chain
  • Answering calls and dealing with enquiries and signposting people to the right department/area within Daisy Chain regarding services and club activities.
  • Ensuring visitors, students and volunteers are signed in and issued with the correct ID badge.
  • Maintaining the weekly sign in/out registers and updating staff information as and when needed i.e. new starters and leavers.
  • Manage key cabinet in reception area and passwords for security cameras.
  • Be aware of security monitors and electronic gate to ensure that it is opened in a timely manner for anyone entering the site (making sure that managers are advised of any concerns)
  • Keeping the room booking dairy system up to date with all relevant information i.e. student/club bookings and meetings.
  • Maintain and update all notice boards in the reception area.
  • Create ID badges for all staff and volunteers and update as required.
  • Be the central point of contact for all on site ordering.
  • Carry out stock checks and ensure we have adequate supplies of needed equipment and PPE.
  • Manage the incoming and outgoing post.
  • Maintain and restock all first aid boxes on site and fire Marshall equipment.
  • Support with ongoing general office administration and cover for other admin staff holidays.
  • Maintaining files behind reception, making sure that there is sufficient paperwork and accident form.
  • Stock checking and overseeing the stationary we provide onsite.

  • Ability to travel within then community to provide planned services.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience in a receptionist and administration role
