An exiting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Transcriptionist Team Leader to join our Administrative Team based at Leigh Moss Hospital.

The post holder will provide support to Consultants and Junior Medical Doctors in the Complex Care Services.

The post holder's main duties will include planning, organising, directing and co-ordinating the work of the identified service.

The post holder will be expected to work with the minimum of supervision.

They will be able to demonstrate flexibility and use own initiative to carry out duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation, thus enabling the medical team to utilise their time in an efficient and effective manner.

It is essential that confidentiality be maintained at all times. The post holder must adhere to Trust Policies and Procedures at all times.

Applicants will be proficient in the use of audio-typing and word-processing packages and qualified to RSA Level 3 typing/word-processing or equivalent.

Knowledge of medical terminology is essential along with possession of the AMSPAR certificate.
