Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of the school's buildings, equipment and grounds
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance schedules and repairs
  • Managing and supervising the work of contractors and maintenance staff
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Overseeing the management of the school's security systems
  • Experience as a caretaker or a similar role
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of building maintenance and repair
  • Excellent organizational and management abilities
  • A background in facilities management or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with a team
