We seek an experienced full-time Finance Assistant to join our Head Office in Plymouth.The position provides excellent career opportunities and benefits with a first-rate package including holiday purchase and cycle-to-work schemes, flexible working, and lifecover.
This is an opportunity to play an important role in our finance and administration department. Additional accountancy training will be provided to further qualifications.Day-to-day duties will include:
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes. Checking statements to ensure costs are accurately recorded
- Preparing complex sales invoices and maintaining project sales information on Project Management System
- Setting up new and maintaining existing purchase ledger & sales ledger accounts on Xero
- Maintaining accurate subconsultant records and issuing purchase orders and agreements
- Liaising with Project Managers to ensure the smooth running of the sales ledger
- Liaising with thirdparty providers, clients, and suppliers
- Assisting with credit control queries
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
- General accounts administration
- Telephone duties
- Other administrative tasks as needed
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger experience essential
- Solid IT skills, including proficiency in the use of Outlook, Excel and Word
- Methodical and organised, with strong numeracy and analytical skills, and good attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a proactive, "can do" approach to tasks
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying responsibilities while maintaining effectiveness and prioritising work to tight deadlines
- Fast learner able to work unsupervised.
