We have an exciting opportunity within the Clinical Directorate, Information Governance team for a n experience d Information Governance professional to join us in the role of Primary Care Support & IG Assurance Lead to cover maternity leave, on a fixed term or secondment basis until June 2025.


The key objective of this role is to provide support to the Primary Care Support and Information Governance Assurance Manager/ DPO Service Manager, ensur ing the continued implementation, assurance of a number of Primary Care, Information Governance work programmes a nd supporting the development s of the Welsh Information Governance Toolkit.

The role will require knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection and Confidentiality.


Y ou will be required to hold a relevant degree or have experience in an Information Governance role with experience in information governance work programs.

Ideally h olding a recognised qualification in Data Protection.

This role can be based at a ny of our DHCW Offices.

Part-time, job share and/or flexible working (including home working) options are also availabl e.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


They will be responsible on a data to day basis for information governance work f or primary care service and Welsh IG Toolkit work programs, providing Information governance expertise, identifying best practice and making recommendation s.

The postholder must have information governance skills and knowledge. E xperience of working in health and/or social care is desirable but not essential for this role.


Due to geography and spread of the service you will be required to have a flexible approach to work and be able to travel on occasion to various sites across Wales as required ; this may require overnight stays.
