  • Location: various across West Yorkshire.
  • There are multiple full time permanent vacancies available, based at sites in Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees.
  • These roles are generally suited to those with experience of working in Digital Forensics. Prospective applicants who do not have previous experience, including those who have recently acquired a Digital Forensics Degree, are encouraged to consider the role of Digital Forensic Technician a more appropriate entry level position to digital forensics.
  • As part of the Digital Forensic Unit, you will support investigations by providing technical knowledge and investigative skills in all aspects of digital forensics. You will be responsible for all levels of digital investigations.
  • Reporting to a Senior Digital Forensic Investigator, you will support the investigation of serious crime and be involved in all types of investigation. You may be required to attend live crime scenes and enact Magistrates search warrants as well as advise investigating officers and oversee activities of other Digital Forensic staff.
  • You will be educated to degree level in a computerbased discipline, or able to demonstrate significant experience and understanding of work within a digital forensic environment. In addition, you will have an understanding of the forensic examination of digital devices as well as experience of working on all crime types.
  • As a full current UK/European driving licence holder, you must have the willingness and ability to travel for business purposes and to work flexibly to suit the requirements of the department. You must be prepared to participate in a standby rota if required.The post is suitable for job share.
