Description
Working as part of the Public Affairs & Communications Team, the aim of this role is to ensure the
effective communication of Adferiad Recovery's work to promote our services, engage our
stakeholders, generate support, and help influence the on-going development and improved
delivery of mental health, substance misuse, caring and related policy in Wales. The post-holder will
work to deliver a high-quality communication service, both proactively and reactively, across
Adferiad Recovery and its subsidiaries, covering areas relating to public affairs, integrated
communications, engagement and stakeholder relations.


Main duties & responsibilities:


  • Design, create and update branded materials, e.g., leaflets, flyers, booklets, guides, impact
reports, both digitally and for print.

  • Write, edit and format content for Adferiad Recovery's websites and ensure that
information, news, events, etc. are regularly updated and promoted.

  • Maintain and improve Adferiad Recovery's presence across a variety of social media
platforms - including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn - and identify new
opportunities.

  • Maintain a database and membership of a range of local Facebook groups to promote
events, advertise employment opportunities, and engage in community activities.

  • Write, edit and format content for various other external communications, such as
newsletters and journals.

  • Engage with our Services to support our member led mission to drive membership through
our existing clients.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of national campaigns.
  • Regular monitoring of current affairs and government policy/consultation updates which
may need to be acted on/responded to.

  • Engage with Adferiad Recovery members and other voluntary sector organisations through
social media, e-newsletters and focus groups.

  • Monitor and evaluate our digital activity using various analytics packages.
  • Contribute to the implementation of our Pubic Affairs and Communications and strategy.
  • Ensure brand consistency across the organisation and across all media platforms,
encouraging staff, volunteers and clients to become Adferiad Recovery brand
ambassadors.

  • Attend a variety of events, both internal and external, to represent Adferiad Recovery as
and when required.

**General: - Any other reasonable tasks commensurate with this post as directed by the Line Manager.

  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.
  • To work flexibly in relation to both time and location as the job demands.
  • To act as an ambassador for the organisation and at all times seek ways to actively
promote and market the services provided across Wales.

This Job Description provides a framework in which duties may be carried out, however it may be
