Our Pensions Team are a small, well-established, and stable team with a supportive and friendly culture. We deliver a high-quality service on behalf of our clients.

Our work includes a variety of tasks where we provide information and data to the Pensions Administrator as well as offering support and advice to colleagues on other teams and answering queries from clients.

Our work varies on a day-to-day basis but often involves receiving queries and data requests relating to employees and their pensions; this could mean going back through the records to check data or to supply missing information.

Whether you are starting out in your career, looking to return to work or looking to build on existing experience, we will provide you with training so that you can familiarise yourself with the Civil Service pension scheme.

We also offer all new starters the opportunity to shadow a more experienced team member to build your knowledge and confidence.

Even when you are fully up and running, we don't expect you to know all the answers to all the queries, we are always on hand to help and support you.

We embrace a hybrid way of working which offers greater flexibility to our team members.

Our offices are based in Swindon, Billingham and Newport and you can choose to work from the most suitable location for you.

Some of our team prefer to come into the office and others prefer to work mostly from home coming into the office once a week.

Our core working hours are 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday but you can work with us on a full time (37hrs) or part time (20hrs) basis with flexible start and finish times.

To do this role well you will need:

  • Educated to GCSE level English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or the ability to work at this level
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • The ability to constantly provide excellent customer
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines


We don't mind if you haven't worked in a finance or pension related role before but you will need to be good with numbers and have a proactive and positive approach to your work.

You will also need to be quite tenacious as some of our queries can be quite complex.
