Head of Transport Strategy & Road Safety

We have a unique opportunity for you to shape, influence and create a better future for Warwickshire - as the Head of Transport Strategy & Road Safety at Warwickshire County Council you can take a lead role in developing a safe and effective transport infrastructure and traffic network for our residents, businesses, and visitors to the county.

This is a great time to join us, with a new Local Transport Plan just adopted and a new Local Transport Fund worth over £200m to be delivered.

Warwickshire is an attractive and prosperous county, with a dynamic economy and a growing population.

As an inclusive, innovative, and financially sound County Council, you will join a strong leadership team, focused on delivering the best outcomes for our residents and businesses.

Warwickshire has just secured a County Devolution Deal, further strengthening our ability to deliver, and demonstrating a strong relationship with government.

As Head of Transport Strategy & Road Safety, you will be responsible for developing our strategic plans for future transport infrastructure, active travel, public transport, electric vehicles and more; developing business cases, securing funding and commissioning delivery of a range of schemes and projects.

Leading our road safety engineering and education teams, you will work closely with Warwickshire Police through our Road Safety Partnership to reduce fatal and serious casualties, using the safe system approach, and working towards vision zero.
